North Bay is a growing city that is full with life and one of the important centers in Ontario. It is located in the northeastern Ontario, Canada. Its name has been derived form its position on the shore of the Lake Nipissing. One of the most significant characters of North Bay is the waterfront. North Bay is also the gateway to the north. North Bay is accessible by all the means of transport and if you are planning to reach here, it is around three and half hours from Toronto and around four hours from Ottawa.
North Bay is home to the famous Canadore College and Nipissing University which are great places to study. The Nipissing University and Canadore College enlist approximately 7000 full time students and more or less the same number of part time students studying here. Students come to this school district from all over the world to take advantage of the world class facilities provided by these two post-secondary institutions.
Apart from that, North Bay has an excellent air travel and transport competence, the Jack Garland Airport; it's the largest airport north of Toronto. North Bay also experiences large number of tourists each year who come to explore the various attractions. The North Bay Heritage Festival is one of the many attractions that bring flocks of tourists each year.
